I gave this product 1 star because I experienced serious side effects. It is not my intention to steer anyone away from this product because not everyone will experience side effects and the possible gain from the product is significant. Rather my intention is to alert the potential user to possible side effects.First, my sense of taste was altered negatively possibly due to my ingesting too much zinc. I then began to experience severe fatigue which grew worse with time. When I connected the fact that my fatigue level started increasing soon after I started taking PreserVision I stopped taking the supplement. Fortunately, my sense of taste returned immediately. There was also an immediate reduction in the level of the fatigue and within a week of ceasing taking PreserVision my energy level returned to near normal levels. I recommend that anyone planning to use this product first Google "PreserVision Side Effects". I wish I had done so, I would have stopped using the product sooner. One side effect that would not normally be noticed until your next Cholesterol test is a reduction of the level of HDL, the good cholesterol.Bausch & Lomb PreserVision Eye Vitamin & Mineral Supplement, 120-Count Soft Gels

This product is recommended by ophthalmologists to slow the progression of AMD. The price is competitive and auto ship is very convenient for such a critical supplement.

My wife has used this product for the last 10 years. It was recommended by her eye doctor when the discovery was made she had macular degeneration. Since she has been using it there has been no further deteriation. Her problem is totally stable.
