Macular degeneeration is not a lot of fun. I have lost central vision in one eye and am legally blind in that eye. My other eye has signs of degeneration. My only options were injections in that eye in addition to taking these vitamins (I smoke) and hope for the best. Since the injections have done what they can, these vitamins are the only treatment availableI don't know the findings of the most current study but when I began taking them, as I recall, it had been found that these vitamins were effective for approximately 30% of the study subjects who had taken them. (The findings may have changed with more current studies.)
