Since this supplement normally is used for preventative benefit, I didn't expect to notice any differences when I started taking this. I was very happily surprised when, after one week, I began to notice changes.I've been taking this for 3-4 months and it has decreased my sensitivity to light while driving at night. I've had halos/ghost images since childhood, cataract surgery in one eye and a (small) cataract in the other eye.After reading information on zeaxanthin, the night vision improvement makes sense because studies have indicated that it filters blue light and protects the light receptors in the retina. The studies also show that the human body does not make zeaxanthin (or lutein) so it must come from the dietScience aside, I took it and saw an improvement in my current vision so any long-term protective benefit is a (important) bonus.Note: I also tried Centrum Specialist Vision (multi-vitamin with same amount of lutein but less zeaxanthin) and it didn't have the same effect for me.

I haven't taken these a month yet. Highly recommended by my eye doctor. Most of the eye vitamins I have taken before this one have made me nauseated. This one does not.
