My husband was diagnosed with macular degeneration & was having a lot of trouble reading. We added this lutein along with several other vision improving supplements & he has already noticed a change in about a month. He plans to keep taking lutein & this was a good value.

I have been taken lutein off and on for years (off when I run out and cannot find it in the stores). I attribute the fact that I am 57 and can still read all but very small print w/o reading glasses to lutein. It can't be good genes since all my brothers and sisters cannot read without reading glasses. Occasionally when the print is very small or my eyes are very tired, I used +1 or +1.25 which are the lowest strength reading glasses available.Since I have very thin retinas and, before using lutein I had experienced a very minute detachment, but no detachments since using lutein, I am going to keep taking it and hoping it will keep my eyes stable and working well. I am a visually oriented person so my eyesight is extremely important to me.I like liquid softgels better than uncoated tablets offered by other brands.
